Event Photography
I am a naturally enthusiastic person and find every new commision I undertake exciting. I find out everything I can about the shoot, what does the client want, and as importantly, not want. If its a location shoot, I like to make visits at different times of the day, shoot sample images, meet the head gardener, or perhaps the vicar, they will often give me their insight into the day, or tell me which part of the grounds will be at their best during the shoot.
Actually taking the Photographs is the easy bit, and sometimes much quicker than the plannig stage which can take weeks or even months.
And so it has always been since I first picked up a girlfriends camera back in the early 1980's. Together we photographed everything, learnt how to develop film and often gave away our work for the sheer pleasure of having been there.
The relationship however didn't last as long as my passion for taking photographs, which still drives me today and every day.
A camera is never far away from me, I would feel lost without one.
I started back then with a Pentax camera, moving on to a secondhand Nikon that would soon become my brand of choice forever. Today I am fortunate enough to own the most sophisticated camera's, lenses and accessories that Nikon make and am registered with Nikon as a Pro user and Proud owner.
On a more personal note; I am 42 years old, a Sagittarius, have two kids, a strapping lad of 16 at 6th form at QE School, and a 10 year old daughter who will one day become a famous singer, or dancer and keep me into my old age, and on my toes.
I live in Southbourne with a wonderfully supportive lady, and a mad Springer Spanial Puppy, both of whom are convinced I am a crazy man, and they may actually be right.

Gurston Down Hill Climb, Goodwood Festival of Speed, various Motocross Events, and even Surfers in Cornwall.
